The Largest donation at Breakfast with Santa fundraiser in Mississauga
(Mississauga, ON) – The community came together at the 5th Annual Breakfast With Santa fundraiser in support of Eden Food for Change (EFFC) on Saturday December 3, 2022 to experience one-of-a kind festive fun with food, friends, music and Santa.
This initiative was a collaboration with Peel First Responders, Small Businesses, Local Artists, Community
Groups, Service Organizations, Media, and concerned Citizens. Santa was accompanied by Police, Fire, Paramedics, and volunteers to welcome guests in the drive-thru and dine-in program. Visitors received gourmet meals as they enjoyed the sounds of the season performed live by local musicians. Kids always eat free and 100% of proceeds benefit Eden Food For Change.
“The goal of this fundraiser is about connecting people and community helping community” says Imran Hasan, Vice-President, Eden Food for Change.
“Public safety and community well-being is a shared responsibility and food banks play a key role in building resilience. Mississauga is one of the most culturally diverse communities in Canada and our board, staff and programs reflect the people we serve.”
“We are a local food centre that provides access to fresh, healthy, and nutritious ingredients” says Peter Costello Executive Director, Eden Food For Change. “EFFC also provides education and training at our inhouse learning kitchen. Members benefit by learning how to cook great healthy food. Our culinary skills programs provide real world training to individuals looking for careers in the food service industry. Our aim is to give a hand up to community in need and help provide a sustainable future.”
